How to properly clean laboratory freeze dryer

The laboratory freeze dryer is one of the indispensable equipment in the laboratory, and it plays a vital role in the fields of biopharmaceuticals, chemical synthesis and material preparation. In order to maintain its long-term stable operation and ensure the accuracy of experimental results, the cleaning of the freeze dryer is particularly important.

Deep cleaning:

1. Turn off the power

Before deep cleaning, be sure to turn off the power of the freeze dryer and wait for the equipment to cool completely.

2. Remove removable parts

Take out the removable parts (such as partitions, trays, etc.) in the freeze drying chamber, clean them with mild detergent and water, and then wipe them dry with a clean cloth.

3. Clean the freeze drying chamber

Use a special cleaning agent or alcohol to clean the inside of the freeze drying chamber. Be careful to avoid using overly irritating cleaning agents to avoid corrosion to the equipment. When cleaning, use a soft brush or sponge to avoid scratching the inner wall.

4. Clean the condenser

The condenser is an important part of the freeze dryer and should be cleaned regularly to ensure its good heat dissipation effect. A vacuum cleaner or soft brush can be used to remove dust and debris from the surface of the condenser.
